Travelers should prepare for heavy congestion and steeper costs at the pump, with regular unleaded in West Virginia averaging four dollars and fifty-one cents a gallon. Traffic analysts warn that the absolute heaviest gridlock will hit this afternoon after two p-m.Turning to local tourism, the City of Parkersburg is stepping up to support local history. Mayor Tom Joyce has presented a ten-thousand-dollar check to the Blennerhassett Historical Foundation. The funding will be used to expand educational programming and significantly increase public access to both the Blennerhassett Museum and the Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park, which draws thirty thousand visitors each summer.And finally, across the river, Washington County Family and Children First has officially launched a new community-wide partnership called "No Wrong Door."
