Investigators announced they have officially identified and caught the suspect who rode an electric bicycle onto the grounds of Cascade Park and performed destructive tire burnouts across the playing surfaces of the community bocce courts. Police are thanking local residents for the wave of tips that led to the swift resolution, and the case is now closed.Meanwhile, Ellwood City Borough Council has officially greenlit a two-hundred-and-fifty-eight-thousand-dollar summer street paving contract to Protech Asphalt Maintenance to resurface portions of Pershing Street, Laurel Avenue, and Linden Avenue.And in regional safety updates, a ten-year-old child remains hospitalized at Saint Joseph Warren Hospital following a weekend bicycle accident in Warren, Ohio. Crash investigators say the boy rode his bike through a local intersection without stopping or slowing down, where he was struck by a municipal firetruck traveling twenty miles per hour.
